MHL 2009 taking shape
MHL 2009 will undoubtedly be the main event of New Zealand’s logistics calendar this year. The only show dedicated to materials handling, warehousing and logistics, MHL 2009 provides industry suppliers with the opportunity to showcase their most up-to-date materials handling equipment and services.
MHL is designed to provide the best-quality interface between suppliers and users in all areas of the supply chain; anyone involved in warehousing – from small to large businesses – will be able to see and talk supply chain issues with a range of vendors under one roof.
Held at the ASB Showgrounds on 22 and 23 July, MHL 2009 will bring together over 100 exhibitors and around 2000 key decision-makers and buyers from throughout New Zealand.
Key exhibitors already confirmed for MHL 2009 include Crown Equipment, Gough Materials Handling, Rotocaster Wheel, Centra Forklifts and Carter Holt Harvey Packaging, many of which were at the previous show in 2007 and are returning for the value they perceive in having a show presence.
AB Equipment is another of those exhibitors, and at this year’s event will showcase a full range of warehouse products, including LPG and battery-electric forklifts, reach trucks, pallet trucks and order pickers from three of the world’s leading manufacturers: Toyota, BT and Raymond.
Scott Carrick, AB Equipment’s general manager of sales and marketing, says the company is looking forward to the show and being able to demonstrate the popular Toyota Series 8 range of forklifts and the five new models in the BT Reflex range, which he says are bound to turn heads.
The highlight of the MHL show will be the Interlogic Kerrect Interactive Theatre which will showcase the evolution of order fulfilment from the 1960s and ‘70s to the present day. The theatre will provide an interactive environment, providing visitors with the opportunity to test and trial the equipment and systems demonstrated in the theatre.
“What makes the interactive theatre a unique showcase is the fact that it has been crafted by two leading logistics professionals – Scott Kerr of Kerrect Logistics, and Interlogic’s Les Wootton,” says Alan Reid, MHL’s sales manager. “Together, they will blend a range of technologies, advanced materials handling equipment and warehouse management software with best-practice techniques to demonstrate some practical examples of how to improve logistics.”
Exhibitor space is booking fast, says exhibitions manager Rachel Hobbs-Price, but quality stands are still available, and those considering booking space should contact her as soon as possible to discuss their requirements.
