New home for FTD, NZ Construction News and GiftBuyer magazines

Effective 1 April 2009, Aston Publishing Ltd will acquire FTD, NZ Construction News and GiftBuyer magazines from HAYLEYMEDIA Ltd.
Aston Publishing is owned by David Silver, previously HAYLEYMEDIA’s publishing manager, and a number of the existing HAYLEYMEDIA staff will transfer to the new company.
Lynne Richardson will retain her role as editor of FTD and will also be the new editor for NZ Construction News, taking over from Steve Best. Alan Reid will continue as FTD’s advertising sales manager and will also be responsible for advertising sales for NZ Construction News, taking over from John Clarke. Both Dyani Ellwood and Geraldine Plowright will continue with the new company in their current positions as editor and advertising sales manager respectively of GiftBuyer magazine. Cheryl Van Zwijndregt will be the graphic designer.
“We’re very excited about the move,” David Silver says. “The combined experience of the people who have agreed to come with me to form the new company bodes well for our future. All have been working for HAYLEYMEDIA for a number of years, and are widely respected.”
The three magazines are well established within their respective industries, and whilst it will be ‘business as usual’. for FTD and GiftBuyer clients, the new ‘team’ are looking forward to working on NZ Construction News. “Lynne and Alan have an excellent working relationship with Steve and John, and will continue to liaise with them to ensure the transition is as seamless as possible for NZ Construction News clients and readers,” David Silver says.
