Crown’s TSP6000 Series
lifts warehousing productivity
The Crown TSP6000 Series turret truck offers an impressive solution for customers looking to maximise storage benefits while still maintaining pallet selectivity and productivity.
With its ability to operate in aisles as narrow as 1500-1800 mm, the TSP6000 turret truck builds on the traditional narrow aisle concept
this type of equipment in such confined spaces,” says Crown managing director, Mike Fogarty. “Productivity needs to be maintained to maximise the benefits of the VNA concept and also meet the challenging tasks faced in the modern fast-paced distribution facility of today.”
By positioning the operator close to the load rather than in a ‘man-down’ situation, the Crown TSP6000 turret truck can be utilised for order-picking duties as well as full-pallet handling. “The ability to productively combine both reach truck and stockpicker functions into one piece of equipment gives customers a significant gain in labour, space and equipment savings,” Mr Fogarty adds.
Excellence in engineering
To optimise the benefits of the TSP6000, Crown’s engineers blended excellence in engineering and innovation with extensive human factor studies. To date this engineering excellence has been recognised with the Crown TSP6000 being awarded five international design awards. “All the thought Crown put into this truck has been about operator productivity and safety,” Mr Fogarty says. “We know that if operators trust and feel confi dent with the TSP6000, they will use all the performance enhancements.”
First, extremely high productivity is achieved because the operator has maximum load handling visibility. Operators can see pallet openings right in front of them, speeding up pallet placement and reducing product and racking damage.
Secondly, the operator compartment is designed to boost control and improve productivity. The ‘move control’ seat can swivel to four different positions at the push of a button. This gives operators the fl exibility to position themselves relative to the task, whether they are picking, handling full pallets, or travelling in and out of aisles.
Third, the positioning and
integration of the controls make
operation of the TSP6000 intuitive.
Crown’s multi-task controls offer
blending of five primary functions,
improving productivity and
saving valuable pallet positioning
time.
Operator safety
The operator compartment is designed to boost control and improve productivity
“Keeping operators safe is an integral part of our design process,” Mr Fogarty emphasises. “The operator compartment features sensors in the floor, and hand controls that assure the operator is in the proper position before the truck can operate.”
The tough, durable construction of the TSP6000 Series is proven through extensive testing, such as Crown’s mechanical testing system which simulates static and dynamic loads comparable to 60,000 hours of the most severe conditions.
All these features, together with Crown’s reputation for building highly durable trucks, provide the customer with a product which has extremely low lifecycle costs and maximum operational benefit.
