Alan ReidHi everyone

By the time we go to print with the next issue of FTD it will be show time....MHL showtime that is !

Considering that we are ......or are we? .....in the middle of a recession, interest in the MHL show has been surprisingly high. I guess it's an industry that never sleeps and has to keep going whatever the conditions, financial or otherwise.

We have an interesting range of features in the August issue.

Risk and Disaster Management
.... Being prepared for disaster involving personnel and premises
.... Risk assessment, and management and contingency planning to ensure that supplies get through.

Packing and Packaging
....New developments in cartons, pallets and wrapping
....Bar coding and labelling for product ID and an update on RFID initiatives here and overseas.

Handling sensitive goods
....Chilled and frozen storage and distribution
....Dangerous and hazardous goods involving valuable cargo

Our next issue will be off the press and available to visitors at the MHL show. We look forward to seeing you there.

Kind Regards
